Manage IP smarter and faster with Tradespace’s AI
Large language models (LLMs) are a type of AI designed to read, interpret, and answer questions about large volumes of text — think thousands of pages of documents – at once. The power of these models is based on billions of probabilities developed by training the models on extremely large volumes of text — in the case of GPT almost the entire internet. Forward-thinking law firms and companies have been using LLM-based tools for years to automate general legal tasks like discovery, research, and memo writing. However, the costs required to train these early models made it nearly impossible for them to tackle specialized topics like IP law.
Learn why legal teams need more than a “GPT-wrapper” to improve IP development
Tradespace has developed the most comprehensive suite of AI tools built specifically for managing the IP lifecycle, trained on knowledge gathered from millions of publications, patents, product specs, licenses, and search reports. Our AI, built by a team of IP attorneys with decades of experience and hosted on private instances to eliminate public disclosure risk, empowers IP teams to work faster and reduce outside counsel spend without sacrificing IP quality.

Get rid of lengthy disclosure forms that frustrate inventors and still don’t capture the right information. Supercharge inventor engagement with AI that turns anything an inventor has on hand — decks, product specs, manuscript, flow charts, and even audio — into rich, comprehensive disclosure packages.
Build repeatable, data-driven disclosure review processes and streamline patent committee meetings with AI-generated invention reports that summarize use cases, similar products, prior art, and competitive advantages.
Stop paying hundreds an hour for your outside counsel to summarize and respond to communications from the patent office. Tradespace captures all patent office and law firm communication for a case. Our AI then summarizes each communication, creates deadlines, and even suggests a response.
Companies buy or license patents based on overlap with their products, R&D initiatives, or competitors. Tradespace’s AI finds the most likely licensing partners, identifies the right stakeholders to contact, and generates detailed summaries explaining why the patent or portfolio is a match for a given company.
No, your data does not train any model, is not publicly disclosed, or otherwise discoverable by a third party.
Tradespace’s AI incorporates state-of-the-art guardrails to ensure all content it generates is grounded in fact. We use retrieval-augmented generation to limit responses to actual data and even provide citations for responses.
Tradespace uses a hub-and-spoke approach, where we provision a separate model instance of our “hub” AI model for each customer account. This means that each account gets a dedicated model instance. No data is ever transferred from our spoke models to our hub model or other spoke models.
Tradespace employs a model-agnostic approach. This means that we can plug into any model. By default, we work with Microsoft Azure to access their Open AI Services. Azure provides industry-best terms of service, which can be found here.
By default Tradespace does not train its models on customer or account data. Tradespace will only train on this data if training is explicitly requested by a customer.
